چکیده

Biological applications of fluorescent probes are rapidly increasing in the supramolecular chemistry research field. Several organic dyes being utilized currently developing and advancing this attractive area, which diketopyrrolopyrrole (DPP) show an exceptional photophysical features (high-fluorescence quantum yield (FQY), good photochemical thermal stability) that essential properties for biological applications. Great efforts have been made recent years towards novel DPPs by different chemists such applications, some positive results reported. As a result, review article gives account progress has so far very recently, mainly within last decade, we selectively focus on discuss more from 2015 to present scholarly achievements DPPs: yield, aggregation-induced emission (AIE), solid-state emission, bio-imaging, cancer/tumor therapy, mitochondria staining polymeric DPPs. Finally, highlights researchers working luminescent future prospects key areas designing DPP-based order boost their effectively.

Fluorescent Probes for Biological Imaging

Owing to the high sensitivity, high resolution, and the wealth of contrast mechanisms, fluorescence imaging is the most versatile and widely used visualization modality to study the structure and function of biological systems and the molecular process in living organisms without perturbing them. Fluorescence molecular imaging is an evolving field of imaging sciences, which involves the develop...

Fluorescent dendritic nanoprobes: a new class of fluorescent probes for biological applications.

The microscopist’s utopia is filled with small, bright, photostable fluorescent probes. The contemporary toolbox of fluorescent probes—organic dyes, fluorescent proteins, and quantum dots—provides a range of sizes and photophysical properties, but we still await the perfect fluorescent probe. In a recent Biophysical Journal, Kim et al. (1) at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign descr...

Fluorescent photoremovable precursor (acridin-9-ylmethyl)ester: synthesis, photophysical, photochemical and biological applications.

A series of carboxylic acids including amino acids were protected as their corresponding fluorescent ester conjugates by coupling with an environment sensitive fluorophore 9-methylacridine. Photophysical properties of all the ester conjugates along with the protecting group have been investigated. Interestingly, the emission properties of the ester conjugates and 9-methylacridine were found to ...

Fluorescent probes and labels for biomedical applications.

Fluorescence probes and labels have become indispensable tools for clinical diagnostics, high-throughput screening, and other biomedical applications. We have developed several classes of new squaraine-based red and near-infrared (NIR) probes and labels (SETA and Square series), naphthalimide-based fluorescence lifetime dyes (SeTau series), and cyanine- and squaraine-based quenchers (SQ series)...

Nucleic acid fluorescent probes for biological sensing.

Nucleic acid fluorescent probes are playing increasingly important roles in biological sensing in recent years. In addition to the conventional functions of single-stranded DNA/RNA to hybridize with their complementary strands, affinity nucleic acids (aptamers) with specific target binding properties have also been developed, which has greatly broadened the application of nucleic acid fluoresc...
